It's been about a week since finishing my 30 for 30, and I'm very happy to be able to access other areas of my closet (namely my favorite moccasins). I'm a little bummed that I didn't wait a month so I could do it in conjunction with Kendi's collective (seriously, it's a long list), but I'm honestly glad to be done.
I'd shopped a lot over winter break, so passing up the clothes was a touch challenging, but not impossible. Doing this project really opened my eyes to how often I re-wear outfits; I think I'm the only one inclined to keep track, and I like re-wearing combination.
So here's what I learned:
-I can make a lot of outfits from only thirty items.
-Some items get much more traffic than others (for example, that gray cardigan I snagged from Heritage 1981 on a whim has probably been the best buy I've ever made; or, the floral-print dress I skeptically picked up on my first thrifting adventure which masqueraded as a shirt and a skirt during January).
-Self-timer pictures are really awkward...
-...but not as awkward as imploring your roommate to take your picture every day.
-I wear a lot of blue.
-Accessories can completely change the look of an outfit, particularly belts and (my favorite) scarves.
-I am not cut out to be a fashion blogger. I'll probably occasionally post something fashion-related, but it's not necessarily my cup of tea.
-The camera I was using was rather horrible. I also learned to adjust pictures using super basic tools like Microsoft Picture Manager.
-January's weather is freakishly bipolar; I used both of my weather wild-card shoes and dealt with an approximate forty degree temperature gap. I'm definitely not complaining though; you won't find 80 degree winter weather just anywhere!
Probably most importantly, I learned that dressing well isn't particularly difficult. Picking out the right shirt, and perhaps the proper accessories can make an outfit completely fabulous.
While I probably won't be remixing again soon, I love that I'm making good on my attempt to dress better. Now that I'm out of remixing, I probably won't be posting quite as regularly, but I have a few post ideas lined up.
Thanks for reading, and happy remixing!

I Didn't Forget About You, I Swear!
So I've definitely neglected to update this the past few days, and my camera's still been out of batteries so I have no pretty pictures either. I'm mad because I looked particularly cute on more than one of these days. (Yes, you can tell me how narcissistic I'm being
Saturday, I had a work function all day. I wore:
Coral cardigan: Old Navy
Peacock shirt: Mossimo, Target
Jeans: Levi's, Kohl's
Ribbon flats: Xhileration, Target
Sunday, I woke up and it was raining. Wasn't it just eighty degrees? I kind of switched around my outfits a lot because I went on a walk sans umbrella or coat and came back damp which was unfortunate.
I at first wore:
V-neck tee: Hanes, Target
Gray sweatshirt: UCR bookstore
Jeans: Levi's, Kohl's
Purple paisley scarf: Target
Black boots: Reaction, Marshall’s
I later switched into a long sleeved shirt not in my thirty but put my black jacket (Gallary, Macy’s) over it. I entertained thoughts of switching into my weather-wildcard rain boots , but I rethought it because it had been raining less.
On Monday, my life kind of exploded, but at least I liked my outfit. I wore:
Blue flannel: Arrow, Dad's closet
Black belt: H&M
Black jeans: Elle, Kohl's
Ribbon flats: Xhileration, Target
At night, I added my coral cardigan (Old Navy). It was getting cold!
Yesterday, I wore:
Long-sleeved pink shirt: Merona, Target
Denim shorts: Ann Taylor, Loft
Gray tights: H&M
When it got colder, I shrugged on my gray cardigan(Heritage 1981). My dad came out and took me to dinner to make me feel better (and it worked!) so I also wore my black coat again.
Then I was done! It's been a crazy thirty days!
I was elated to be finished, but I had a really hard time picking clothes this morning; I settled on a shirt my aunt tie-dyed for me. It's pink, purple, blue and green. I wore mis-matched pink and purple socks with my brown Nordstrom Rack shoes and got several compliments.
I'll post a thirty-for-thirty reflection soon! Then I'll get back to more regularly-scheduled programming.
Good night!

Gateway
So, my camera ran out of batteries, which is really sad because I looked kind of cute today.
Yesterday, I wore:
Gray cardigan: Heritage 1981
Rust shirt: American Rag, Macy’s
Black and white scarf: Target
Black jeans: Elle, Kohl's
Tan flats: Dr. Scholl's
I realized on the way out the door that it was almost exactly the same outfit I wore on day one. Oops!
Today, I finally wore my sundress as a dress at school.
I wore:
Gray cardigan: Heritage 1981
Floral sundress: Xhileration, thrifted
Gray tights: H&M
Brown shoes: Born, Nordstrom Rack
I decided to dress especially cute today so I was more confident while taking a midterm. The dress wasn't entirely the best idea because I also got trained on driving the Geo cart for work today. Driving 26 miles per hour in an open-air golf cart past high-student-traffic areas wasn't necessarily the best plan! But now I'm cart-trained, which is fun.
Happy weekend! Yours truly has to work tomorrow.

People Don't Understand
I forgot what day it was several times today; oops. For the record, I know it's Wednesday (Right?).
As it was Wednesday, I endeavored to wear leggings because I had dance.
Today, I wore:
Orange glasses: (nonperscription) Forever 21
Black tassel earrings: H&M
Long-sleeved shirt: Old Navy
Belt: H&M
Skirt: Merona, Target
Leggings: Apt 9, Kohl's
Flats: Sonoma, Kohl's
I also wear that necklace a lot, but I don't have legit credits for you; the chain didn't originally come with that charm, and I'm not really sure where I got them because I've had each for a very long time.
Today's title comes from work; it's known that my awkwardness and earnest caring for others make up some of my more endearing qualities. One of my coworkers captured it perfectly: "Aw, Jacqueline's trying to be nice; people don't understand." My life story in so few words.

Things Unsaid Begin to Take Their Toll; Things Unspoken Break Us If We Choose
I'm listening to "Pittsfield" on repeat today, hence the seemingly random title. (And I had an epic catch-up conversation with my mom earlier this evening. I have a very hard time keeping up with my life if I don't talk things out. It's my coping technique; things can't rattle around by themselves in my head for extended amounts of time.)
Yesterday was my late day at work, and the server in my office crashed right as I was trying to finish something, so I wasn't really in the mood to blog. But I did pose for a quick self-timer picture.
I wore:
Scarf: Target
White v-neck: Hanes, Target
Cardigan: Heritage 1981
Jeans: Levi's, Kohl's
Ribbon flats: Xhileration, Target
Oh, and my ballet class is getting more and more intense. I'm starting to regret not taking French in high school. Maybe if I'd taken French, I would be able to keep up better with the terminology!
Today, I wore my yellow shirt as an excuse to wear my handmade headband, but no one commented on it so I didn't get to brag.
I wore:
Headband: handmade (Yes, I'm bragging!)
Blazer: Geoffrey Beene
Shirt: Anxiety, J.C. Penny’s
Necklace: Modcloth
Jeans: Levi's, Kohl's
Flats: Xhileration, Target
I'm becoming much more aware of the items I own that get a lot more traffic than anything else!
Before taking some of the red eye in this picture, I looked reminiscent of a picture from a nighttime safari. Rawr!

Show off
So I was definitely not good at keeping up with the blog this week--work is starting to get busy, especially because we didn't work Monday and I had two papers and a few poems due this week. It's the weekend before Week Four for the UC system and midterm season is already upon us.
I titled this entry "show off" because I have several pictures of two outfits because I'm very proud of those ones, and only one picture (or none) of the others. Here we go!
I was extremely pleased with this outfit! Once again, my floral sundress was masquerading as not-a-dress, and on my way out the door, my roommate complimented my shirt. Tee hee! I love the way the extra skirt made the blue skirt so much fuller! (In these pictures you can see one of the chairs I refinished over the summer and my roomie's pretty Paris poster)
I wore:
Coral cardigan: Old Navy
Floral-print dress: Xhileration, thrifted
Belt: thrifted
Skirt: Merona, Target
Plastic bangle: gift, Macy's
Metal bangle: Forest Home Bookstore (I'll have to add in a feature about this bangle--it's my favorite and I wear it a lot)
Rainbows
I also decided to wear a little bright lipstick just for fun. Without the cardi, the outfit lacked a lot of color, so I wanted to pick up a little more of the bright flowers in the print.
On Thursday, I was super rushed and didn't get in any pictures. I had an interview for Housing in the evening. I'm hoping to be a Residence Adviser or Program Coordinator next year. It was a nice day, but it was getting really breezy and a little chilly in the evening.
During the day, I wore:
Gray cardigan: Heritage 1981
Purple shirt: Apt 9, Kohl's
Black skinny jeans: Elle, Kohl's
Black flats: Sonoma, Kohl's
To my interview, I wore:
Black pearl earrings and neclace: Majorica, gift
Purple and green scarf: Target
Black coat: Gallary, Macy’s
Purple shirt: Apt 9, Kohl's
Denim slacks: Mixit, Kohl's
Black flats: Sonoma, Kohl's
I think my interview went well, but we'll see: I'm supposed to get a call back to attend the leadership class tomorrow at noon if they liked me. Cross your fingers for me!
Thursday night was the night that I stayed up almost all night doing my religious studies paper and a poem, so I took another casual Friday and made sure to put on my geek-style glasses and big earrings to hide my sleepiness.
I wore:
Glasses: (non-perscription) Forever 21
Earrings: gift
Blue flannel: Arrow, Dad's closet
Metal Bangle: Forest Home Bookstore
Jeans: Levi's, Kohl's
Ribbon flats: Xhileration, Target
Yesterday, I went out on a bus adventure with one of my dear friends, then to dinner and a play. I tried to pick out clothes that would transition well from day to night.
Yesterday, I wore:
Blue striped button-up: H&M
Pocketwatch necklace: Modcloth
Shorts: Ann Taylor, Loft
Gray tights: H&M
Brown shoes: Børn, Nordstrom Rack
(and later added)
Gray cardigan: Heritage 1981
Brown blazer: Geoffrey Beene
Yes, I'm extremely pleased with how I layered, especially when only wearing the shirt and cardigan. Yay!
Today, I reserved my right to a lazy day. Honestly, I'm still in my pajamas though I've been up for about nine and a half hours. I did take a picture today though:
I'm wearing:
Glasses: (prescription) Guess, Lenscrafters
Crocheted headband: self-made
Hoodie: Old Navy
(Pajamas not shown, haha, and I made it a goal to not put on shoes at all today)
I made the headband while avoiding homework; I found a pattern by Marta at creativeyarn, but I can't read patterns so I kind of winged it. I need to learn patterns though, 'cause I love the look of the bows she's made patterns for. I'd also really like to get back into working with yarn. I'm allergic to wool, and when I was knitting before, I could only make scarves. I enjoy crochet a lot more, and I bet I could find nice wool-free yarn somewhere.
Anyway, I think I'm going to finish homework, watch more Law & Order: SVU (I swear, USA has so many SVU marathons for no reason, and I love it), and go back to bed. Thanks for reading!

The High Today Was Eighty
Just thought you all should know. Excuse my slightly disheveled appearance; I needed to catch my roommate before she went to work to spare you self-timer pics.
What I wore on this glorious day:
Blue shirt: Elle, Kohl's
Bracelet (which you can't see--bummer!): Forever 21
Shorts: Ann Taylor, Loft
Black flats: Sonoma, Kohl's
I took kind of a grunge hair day: french braided into a pony tail. It took many bobby pins, but I think it turned out okay. I was wearing a belt at first, but it's one of those belts that you wish had more holes. It wasn't doing what I needed it to, so I ditched it once i got to class. There was now way I could go through the day without messing with it.
I pretty much refused to cook tonight, but figured that Red Vines didn't count as dinner, so I scrambled an egg. I am so industrious.
Hopefully this weather lasts--I love it!

Summertime and the Livin' is Easy
So it's not actually summertime, but here in Southern California, it feels like it!
For the long weekend, I journeyed home.
What I wore on Friday:
Scarf: Target
Cardigan: New York Laundry, Mom's closet
Shirt: Mossimo, Target
Jeans (which look surprisingly brown in this picture--they weren't that dirty, I swear!): Levi's, Kohls
Tan flats: Dr. Scholl's
On Saturday, I ran a bunch of errands. Walking past the new and improved shoe section at Target was killer, but you'll be happy to know that I made it out of Target without any extra apparel. Yay me! I did walk out of SuperCuts with a spiffed up haircut--it's okay if you don't notice, I got the same one. I'm very boring that way.
What I wore on Saturday:
Green bow: H&M
Sunglasses: American Eagle
White v-neck: Hanes, Target
Green peeping tank: (I'm not sure of the brand) Mom's closet
Jeans: Levi's, Kohls
Flip flops: Rainbow (I got a super deal on these by going to the Rainbow factory store in San Clemente)
I am so incredibly glad that I included weather-wildcard shoes. The weather has been in the high seventies and eighties and I'm so much more comfortable in my Rainbows!
Sunday was my sister's eighteenth birthday party! Mom got Allie's cake at Costco. Allie is not the kind of girl that looks forward to roses on her cake, so Mom instead thought that she'd prefer a musical motif.
Beautiful! But wait--is that a... treble clef? Mom told the manager at Costco that it wouldn't be that much of a big deal... if Allie hadn't been turning eighteen after wearing a treble clef around her neck since sixth grade (which I gave her, by the way). I'm definitely sending this to Cakewrecks.
Allie's birthday also ended up being a reunion of sorts between me and Shannon over at to boldly wear. I was so excited!
I was wearing:
Pocketwatch necklace: Modcloth
Dress: Xhileration, thrifted
Tan belt: thrifted
Flip flops: Rainbow
And Shannon was being cute, though she was getting a little toasty outside in her black dress. I think my shoulder sunburnt a little too. Yay for summer weather in January!
Even though I'm self-conscious of my hobbit feet, I had to get a shot:
Ugh, Shannon's shoes are so cute! I'm glad I painted my toenails so I could try to compete with that lovely example of footwear.
And because I felt cute, I had to take another few pictures:
Dad and Mom's dad built this swingset when I was about as tall as the swing I'm standing next to. My cousins still love to play on it, and it's fun to pose with!
What I wore today:
Twister blouse: Forever 21
Denim shorts: Ann Taylor, Loft
Sunglasses: American Eagle
Flip flops: Rainbow
Yes. I wore shorts today! I was thrilled. And you can see the other side of my porch! Today's self-timer adventure didn't work very well, so I'll leave you with my favorite picture from the weekend:
I hope that you're enjoying life as much as I am!

Do Good and Do Well
This morning when I woke up, I wanted nothing more than to take my lazy sweatshirt day. Yesterday it was breezy and kind of cold. I lay in my bed watching the plant growing in the eaves blow slightly in the wind, dreading getting out from under the warm covers. Instead of the sweatshirt, I wore this:
What I wore today:
Coral cardi: Old Navy
Floral silk scarf: Mom's closet
White v-neck: Hanes, Target
Jeans: Levi's, Kohl's
Ribbon flats: Xhileration, Target
It's a good thing I didn't go for the grunge look today, because after I got in to work, I was sent up to fill a seat at a luncheon. I'd been invited in the first place, but I was supposed to be working during it, so I didn't decide to go. I ended up sitting with the Chancellor of my university (today's title is from his speech). I was definitely glad that I put on a decent outfit this morning, let alone makeup!
I'm also glad I didn't go for the sweatshirt today because, miraculously, the temperature was in the 70s most of the day. Hooray! And because I get off work early on Thursdays, my pictures were taken outside.
And I have lots of extra pictures too!

Nobody Dances Anymore
I got my first individual project at work today! I'm going to be editing survey questions and developing the new online version of the survey for our orientation program. I'm super psyched!
Today, I decided to wear an outfit with leggings so that I wouldn't have to change quite as much for dance.
What I wore:
(the same bicycle earrings as yesterday; I couldn't help it, I love them!)
Gray cardigan: Forever 21
Purple shirt: Apt 9, Kohl’s
Scarf: gift
Pocketwatch necklace: ModCloth
Skirt: Merona, Target
Leggings: Soft, Bed Bath & Beyond (don't judge, they were $2, haha)
Black flats: Sonoma, Kohl's
I wasn't especially photogenic today, but I really liked my outfit. Though, you get what you pay for with regards to the leggings; they kept slipping down! Nothing too scandalous happened, it was just annoying. I'll just have to remember that i can only wear these leggings with shorts. (Oh, and if you look close, you can see the copper ring that my sister made which I was talking about yesterday.)
My title for today is from Brandston's song, "Nobody Dances Anymore", which was my song of the day. I walked from class to class with it on repeat; it's Wednesday... Halfway to the weekend!!
Today, I decided to wear an outfit with leggings so that I wouldn't have to change quite as much for dance.

Catsup, Ketchup, Catch Up!
Last night, I had a late meeting for work, then helped a friend with stats. After that, I made pasta, then slacked off on my blogging commitment. I just wasn't feeling it, haha.
What I wore on Monday:
Twister shirt: Forever 21
Brown corduroy blazer: Geoffrey Beane
Belt: thrifted
Jeans: Levi's, Kohl's
Brown shoes: Børn, Nordstrom Rack
Best thing about yesterday? I think I've finally broken in these beautiful brown shoes!
They're a little clunky, but they can actually make my feet look a tiny bit smaller than they are!
Oh, and I noticed that one of my coworkers was dressed even nicer than usual. Being me, I commented. "Why?" I wondered. He shrugged. "'Cause it's Monday." I love it! It's like the perfect mate for casual Friday! What a cutie.
Enter today: stats and work! Valuable lesson for today? Double check that you don't accidently "check out" important parts of website code; it'll crash your office's website. Not that I would ever do this, I'm just making a note.
What I wore today:
Blue cardigan: New York Laundry, Mom's closet
Blue striped shirt: H&M
Pants: Mixit, Macy's
Ribbon flats: Xhileration, Target
These pants are a tiny bit short for me, but I love them anyways. I was really really cold walking home tonight as a breeze brought the the temperature down even further.
I have to show off my earrings today: little silver bicycles (Idaho Silver Company)! They make me happy. My ring is American Eagle, though I usually wear a copper thumb ring that my sister made for me, but I have to take a break from that one every so often because it turns my finger green, haha.
Hope the front part of your week has been wonderful!

Everyone's Wonderin' Will You Come Out Tonight
I didn't get a chance to post yesterday, but my outfit was kind of boring, so it's okay. (Partially hence the title; from "Working for the Weekend" by Loverboy. I was out last night, hence not post.)
I wore:
Black long-sleeved shirt: Old Navy
Jeans: Levi's, Kohl's
Black boots: Reaction, Marshall’s
Last night, I broke the rules a little bit; in the aforementioned "out", I went to a basketball game and took the opportunity to wear the kilt that I bought over the summer (for half-price with my orientation leader discount--heck yeah!). My school's mascot is the Highlander, and we have our own tartan in black, white, blue, and gold.
I paired it with the black shirt I was wearing earlier in the day and black leggings, stockings and flats. I don't have pictures of this outfit either... Though the game was really exciting, we lost in overtime. Such a bummer!
I do have pictures of today's outfit though! Yesterday, my mom came out and took me to lunch. She brought me my prismacolor pencils and the rogue blue-checked shirt that is part of my thirty.
What I wore today:
Glasses (perscription): Guess, Lenscrafters
Coral cardigan: Old Navy
Blue flannel: Arrow, Dad's Closet
Jeans: Levi's, Kohl's
Black boots: Reaction, Marshall's
I got kind of artsy with the self-timer pictures today because I've been avoiding the reading for my religious studies class. Shh! Don't tell my TA!
(This is probably my favorite set of pictures from my thirty so far. I know it's kind of lame to not have full-length shots, but the afternoon sun, and my perch by the window paired with coral and blue? Nothing wrong with this ever.)
Dinner tonight will likely be some sort of pasta dish; chicken and broccoli with bowtie noodles. I'm not sure yet because I had a late Jamba Juice for lunch.

Casual Friday
As I wrapped up my first 20-hour work week (ever!), I decided I would try out casual friday.
What I wore:
Grey techno hoodie: Old Navy
White v-neck: Hanes, Target
Jeans: Levi's, Kohl's
Ribbon flats: Xhileration, Target
I walked to class listening to music through my drawstrings! So cool!
I had a lovely day at work, even though I felt a tad under-dressed when my boss walked in wearing a dress shirt and tie (both purple), which is a bit of a change from the polos he usually sports. And it was cold today. I found myself regretting not wearing a scarf (or perhaps my boots).
For dinner, I chopped up the other half of my heart of romaine and lightly stir fried it with salt, pepper, olive oil, broccoli, and tuna. Though I think I went too heavy on the olive oil, it was a good alternative to plain cold salad!
TGIF!

Singing the Blues (Out of Tune)
Not too bad! You just have to wait longer for the full effect!
What I wore today:
Gold earrings: Macy's
Jewel tone embellished bobby's: H&M
Blue shirt: Elle, Khol's
Black belt: H&M
Gold bracelet: Forever 21
(Cont'd)
Shorts: Loft
Tights: H&M
Black flats: Sonoma, Khol's
I said it was the nicest day, but I had to wear layers for my morning/sunset schedule...
Blue cardigan: New York Laundry, Mom's closet
Black scarf: Target
I wore the scarf most of the day, but I was thrilled to be able to go without the cardi throughout the morning and afternoon. I have so much blue in my thirty! I blame it on being easy to mix with other colors and my intense love of the "provencial" dress from Disney's Beauty and the Beast.
Also, for dinner, I made awesome fried rice; jasmine rice with egg, olive oil, lightly steamed carrots, peas, and broccoli, soy sauce and some chicken that I cooked a looong time ago and defrosted for the occasion. It's really easy, tasty, and leftovers are always a plus!
I curled my hair with my straightener last night, tied it in a scarf to sleep, then fixed it a bit this morning. Yay, curled hair! using a straightener is way faster than the spiral curling iron I'd used in the past. The curls are much looser, but they're still pretty!

Blue and Gold!!
Wednesday is R'day which means blue and gold everywhere! Okay, so outside my office, people don't really adhere to this, but I do! This was the only shot I liked today. I'm back to self-timer shots 'cause my roommate was at work.
What I wore today:
blue cardigan: New York Laundry, Mom's closet
goldenrod shirt: Anxiety, J.C. Penny’s
jeans: Levi's, Khol's
tan flats: Dr. Scholl's
I was looking at the picture wondering why you can't see the pop-of-color earrings that I put on this morning, but then I remembered that I took them off for ballet... And never put them back on. Oops!
I think I'm going to make a post at some point of good tips I've learned from being friends with dancers (and becoming one myself!), but I think I'll hold off until this thirty business is over. I might have more of a dancer's perspective by then too.
Also, for dinner, I cut a heart of romaine in half, drizzled it with olive oil, then lightly seasoned it with salt and pepper. I fake-grilled it in a pan, then put some canned tuna on top of it. So tasty and really easy! Yay!
Happy R'day!

Addressing the Problem, Skirting the Issue
Today was my stats day. I have stats in the morning, work, stats in the afternoon, then work again. I think I'm going to like Tuesdays. On my way to class this morning, I lamented to my roommate that I would be late (my department switched buildings, and I assumed it would take less time to get there. Darn you, bike theif!!). She replied, "Maybe, but at least you look cute." Words to live by, my friends. (And I was actually right on time to class!)
Sorry for the punny title; those that made comments on my "skirt" were shocked to hear me reveal it to be a dress!
This watch was wayyyy overpriced, but I love it anyway. The notebook? On sale and has a cool pattern.
It did get colder after the sun set, so I threw on my Old Navy hoodie. (The drawstrings are earbuds!! So cool!)
Thanks to my fabulous roommate who took my pictures. They turned out much better today, haha. (And you can see more of my fabulous interior decorating skills. Check out that sheer blue curtain. Oh yeah.)
A bunch of the people I work with (or keep correspondence with) have said that 30 for 30 is something they'd be interested in trying. Yay! Already, I"m seeing how much better this is for me; I'm a nightmare packer. Weight limits on air travel bags are the enemy! I'm hoping to do some traveling at the end of next summer, part of which might be by bus, so I have to learn to pack lighter!
Sorry for the punny title; those that made comments on my "skirt" were shocked to hear me reveal it to be a dress!
I was thankful that it was sunny today--fairly pleasant weather for a light long-sleeved shirt and tights!
What I wore today (head to toe!):
pink shirt: Merona, Target
pocket watch necklace: Modcloth
floral print dress: Xhileration, Target
gray tights(which aren't as sickly colored as pictured!): H&M
ribbon flats: Xhileration, Target
So I kind of felt like a Target ad today, which is ironic because I went to Target after work. I went for some nail polish and a cd, but Target had neither that I wanted (boo!), so I instead bought a notebook for my creative writing class.

Day One
This morning was the first day of winter quarter. It was cold and rainy, and my sleep schedule for the past three weeks has been running at about 4am-1pm. So while I really really wanted to just crawl out of bed and throw a sweatshirt on when I woke up at seven this morning, I restrained myself and stared at my thirty for a few minutes while I woke up the rest of the way. (I could hear my mom in my head: "Good God, Jacqueline, just pick something!!")
This was before the layers I threw on over it--it was in the high 40's all day today, which is insufferably freezing for yours truly!
My camera is really bad, so other than this picture, they're all poorly cropped mirror pictures :( I'll use a cut to spare you! (Pirates, ye be warned!)

1**2 + 2**2 + 3**2 + 4**2 for thirty
So, about a month and a half ago, I discovered Kendi’s 30 for 30 Challenge when one of my childhood friends took the challenge. The rules are pretty simple: pick thirty items of clothes and only wear those thirty for thirty days. Shoes count, but not accessories don’t (I'm also not counting pj's or workout clothes). The really tricky part? No shopping for the entire thirty days. Now, it was really hard for Shannon; I could practically hear her exasperation from three thousand miles away (and I could actually hear her when she came home for Thanksgiving).
I’m a little worried about the no shopping part (I really like shopping), but my bank account will thank me (especially because I just had my bike stolen). As for picking thirty and sticking to those, I’m not too worried because I suspect I only wear about thirty items of clothing anyway. Actually, that’s a lie; I never do laundry so I do end up wearing different clothes out of necessity. But barring laundry, I probably do have pieces that get a lot more wear than others. I’ll just have to pay attention for the next month.
I had some trouble picking my thirty, but here they are! (Ew, my camera puts time and date stamps and I don't know how to get rid of them. Sorry!)
This is Kendi's graphic for her challenge. I kind of sort of swiped it--borrowed without permission! Click through for the rules on her blog (she's far more eloquent and cute than I), and click around--I love her style!
